It is an intracellular parasite with a life cycle that involves vertebrates and invertebrates. It is the etiological agent of Chagas disease.<\/span><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/docenciamicrobiologia.umh.es\/files\/2021\/11\/Trypanosoma_cruzi_ciclo_de_vida.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"240\" \/><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>CYCLE<\/strong><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center\">\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<table style=\"border: hidden;margin: 0 auto\">\n<tbody>\n<tr style=\"border: hidden\">\n<td style=\"border: hidden;text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"\" style=\"margin: 5px\" src=\"https:\/\/docenciamicrobiologia.umh.es\/files\/2021\/11\/tripanosoma-crucei-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1000\" \/><\/td>\n<td>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Parasitic forms:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul style=\"text-align: left\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul style=\"text-align: left\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul style=\"text-align: left\">\n<li><strong>Amastigote:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">spherical and oval, it reproduces in the mammalian cells (mainly in muscle and nerve cells).<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left\">\n<li><strong>Epimastigote:<\/strong><\/li>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">long and with the kinetoplast located anterior to the nucleus, it reproduces in the digestive tract of invertebrates. \u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Trypomastigote:<\/strong><\/li>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">it is also long, but the kinetoplast is located posterior to the nucleus.
