rel=\"noopener\">(lactophenol blue)<\/a><\/span> to see the morphology and the budding of the cells or another more specific study to see the capsule <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><a href=\"https:\/\/docenciamicrobiologia.umh.es\/en\/indice-de-practicas\/8-observacion-microscopica\/tinciones-para-hongos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">(negative staining with India ink)<\/a><\/span> .<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-281 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/docenciamicrobiologia.umh.es\/files\/2021\/11\/gemacion.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"240\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">In the staining with lactophenol the size and the shape of the cells can be seen, along with their budding in the case of the yeast.<br \/>\nIncreases: 400X<br \/>\nIn the negative staining with India ink the capsule of some yeast can be seen.<\/p>\n<p>As for the filamentous fungi cultures both their macroscopic and the microscopic morphological characteristics must be observed.<br \/>\nThe color and the shape of the colony on both the top and bottom side of the plate will be observed in cultures formed using the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><a href=\"https:\/\/docenciamicrobiologia.umh.es\/en\/indice-de-practicas\/6-identificacion-fungica\/cultivo-de-hongos-filamentosos-y-levaduras\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">stab culture technique.<\/a><\/span><br \/>\nThe best way to observe the microscopic characteristics of a filamentous fungus is by dividing up a <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><a href=\"https:\/\/docenciamicrobiologia.umh.es\/en\/indice-de-practicas\/6-identificacion-fungica\/microcultivos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">microculture<\/a><\/span> after <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><a href=\"https:\/\/docenciamicrobiologia.umh.es\/en\/indice-de-practicas\/8-observacion-microscopica\/tinciones-para-hongos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">staining it with blue lactophenol<\/a><\/span> and by using different microscope objectives.<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: center\">\n<table style=\"border: hidden;margin: 0 auto\">\n<tbody>\n<tr style=\"border:
