Equinococcus granulosus
The dog tapeworm (Echinococcus granulosus) is a species of platyhelminth of the Cestoda class that, in its adult form, is a parasite of the small intestine of dogs, while in its larval stage it parasitizes sheep or goats; secondarily or incidentally this parasite can live in other animals, including cattle, horses, pigs, some rodents, deer, moose, marsupials and primates (including humans) and it produce hydatidosis or a hydatid cyst.
