Enterobius vermicularis

Enterobius vermicularis is a small human nematode parasite that is commonly known as the pinworm. It causes the intestinal infection known as oxyuriasis, or enterobiasis.

Pinworms are parasites that are found all around the world. They mainly infect children under 12, who get infected by eating contaminated food or due to the    dispersion of eggs, after the carrier touches their anus if it itches due to the eggs being laid in the perianal area, then the eggs attach to their fingertips and they contaminate a new carrier when they are swallowed, which after hatching in the intestine, start a new cycle.
