Trichinella spiralis
Trichinella spiralis is a species of nematode from the Adenophorea class that causes a disease known as trichinosis, trichinellosis, trichiniasis.
It can infect any mammal that eats raw meat of another infected mammal, so it is common in carnivores such as dogs, cats, and less frequently in omnivores such as rats, pigs and humans, and even specific herbivores such as horses.
